A short, practical version of our editorial standards. The longer version is on the wall by the coffee machine.

1. Independence

BlockArenaX is editorially independent. Sponsorships, partnerships and any commercial activity are siloed from the newsroom and never influence editorial decisions. If we cover a sponsor, we disclose. We do not soft-pedal coverage to protect commercial relationships.

2. Sourcing

Every claim in a published piece is sourced. Where we use anonymous sources, we describe the source's position and motivation as much as we can without compromising the source.

3. Verification

If we cannot independently verify a claim, we either attribute it to its source (“according to X”) or don't publish it. On-chain claims are verified by linking to the underlying transactions or contracts.

4. Disclosure

Writers disclose material holdings at the bottom of articles. The newsroom maintains a banned-coverage list — assets a writer holds in size cannot be the subject of pieces that writer authors.

5. Corrections

Errors are corrected at the top of the affected article with a timestamp. We do not silently re-write history. If a story is materially wrong, we say so.

6. Pseudonymous Writing

We work in an industry where many of the most informed sources operate pseudonymously. We allow pseudonymous contributions where the byline has a track record and the editor has verified the contributor's identity off the record.

7. AI

We use AI tools for research and editing support. We do not publish AI-generated reporting. Every piece on BlockArenaX has a human byline who has read, edited, and stands behind the work.
